Hermitage Baby Girl Found July 2, 1970 in Hermitage, Mercer County
Case Details On Thursday, July 2, 1970, the body of a newborn white female was found along Lynnwood Drive in Hermitage (formerly Hickory Twp). She had been born alive and is believed to have been around 5 days old when she died. Cause of death was exposure and starvation. Where she was found is close to the Ohio border and near I-80, I-79, State Route 18 and the PA Turnpike. Officials believe she was born in a hospital but which hospital and the child's identity remain unknown.
