Circumstances of Disappearance
Mr Boozer's wife last saw him on Wednesday, June 21, 2006 at around 8:30 am as he was leaving their West Philadelphia rowhouse to take the train to Wills Eye Hospital, where he had an appointment. Mr Boozer left the hospital, which is located at 840 Walnut St in Philadelphia, at around 11:30am. His wife waited until 5pm that day, then called 911 to file a missing persons report.
Mr Boozer had recently begun to fall asleep more during the daytime. It is possible that he may have napped on the trains and missed his stop. He is a shy man and not the type to stop and ask strangers questions if he had become confused or lost.
Investigators checked area hospitals and the medical examiner's office. Mr Boozer's family posted flyers around the 69th Street area and checked area nursing homes. But no trace of him has been found.
