Case DetailsOn Friday, November 6, 1992, the remains of the victim were found in the brush and overgrown weeds along Route 18 in North Beaver Township, just outside of the City of New Castle in Lawrence County.
Initially, investigators believed the man to be approximately 60 years old, but after an examination of the skull, the estimated age was adjusted to around 30 years old.
According to one witness, there was a man in the area in January 1992 who matched the description of the deceased man. The man had told this witness that he was trying to get back to Struthers, Ohio.
Another witness reported that he had dropped a man matching the description in the Enon Valley area, less than 10 miles from where the victim's remains were found.
There is no reconstruction of the victim or usable photos of his clothing available at this time.
