On Monday, November 18, 2013, a tree-trimming crew working near the West Manchester Mall in York County discovered a human skull in a bushy area near Loucks Road and Haviland Drive. Through the efforts of the York County Forensic Team and forensic anthropologist Dennis Dirkmaat of Mercyhurst University in Erie, roughly 85 to 90 percent of this unknown man's skeleton was recovered.
Preliminary findings, published in the York Dispatch, described the man as probably a white male, 30 to 50 years old and between 5'6" and 6'.
Cause of death is unknown but due to some evidence recovered at the scene, the death is considered suspicious.
